The Physical Therapy Practice owner Steven Lavender is an Australian trained physiotherapist with eighteen years of experience in patient care. He specializes in Male Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, and Musculoskeletal and Neurological Physical Therapy. Through customized 1-on-1 care, Steven offers his patients the best possible long-term outcomes.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland and a BFA Dance earned from the University of Technology of Queensland. He worked as a ballet dancer before studying physical therapy.
 
Steven is one a tiny handful of male therapists to specialize in treating Male Pelvic Floor Disorders and has a special interest and expertise in Men’s Health. He has experience in treating both common and rare conditions and all pre and post-surgical assessments and protocols.  
 
Steven served on The Specialists Advisory Panel for Obesity Australia as the Allied Health Representative, researched devised and implemented The Better Breathing Program for the Wesley Hospital, was Team Leader researching and developing new health care service delivery for the outback of Australia, researched and developed Corporate Physiotherapy Services for the National Native Title Tribunal, and served on the Advisory Board for the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts NYC. 
 
Steven has training, experience and a keen interest in healthy and unhealthy thoughts and behaviors and has worked extensively with psychologists on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies to further help patient outcomes.
